Robert Schumann, beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on July 10, 1961, in Jersey City, NJ, Robert's life was marked by his unwavering love for his family and his passion for the simple pleasures in life.
The son of the late Marie and Donald Schumann Sr., Robert was a devoted father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving children: Robert Schumann, Daniel and his wife Marissa Schumann, Stephen and his wife Lauren Schumann, Haley and her husband Christopher Salvatore, and Emily Schumann. His legacy will continue through his grandchildren, Daniel Schumann Jr. and the soon to be arriving Annalyn Grace Schumann, who will grow up hearing wonderful stories about their grandfather. Robert was a caring brother to his surviving siblings, David and his wife Cynthia Schumann, Donald Schumann Jr. and Lisa Schumann. He was predeceased by his brothers Michael and Gary Schumann. His life was enriched by the love and laughter of many nieces and nephews.
Robert's life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and New York Yankees, reveling in every game. His love for the outdoors was evident in his favorite pastimes, fishing and crabbing.
As we bid farewell to Robert, we celebrate a life that, though not without its challenges, was abundant in love and happiness. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit will live on in the stories shared, the games watched, and the family gatherings that will continue to honor his memory.
In the end, Robert Schumann's life story is not just about the dates that bookend his time on earth but about the countless moments in between that he filled with love, laughter, and the unwavering support of his beloved family. Rest in peace, Robert; your legacy will endure through the lives of those you've touched.
