Nicolo A. Anastasi, known affectionately as Nick by his loved ones, passed away gracefully with his wife of 33 years, Maria, right by his side on August 19, 2025, in Bayonne, New Jersey. Born on May 14, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, Nick was a man of intelligence, kindness, and a loving spirit that touched everyone he encountered throughout his remarkable life.

Nick was a proud alumnus of St. John's University, where he not only played college football but also earned a Master's Degree in Economics. His passion for education led him to further his studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he achieved an MBA. His academic pursuits paved the way for a successful career as an International Medical Supply Consultant, a role in which he made significant contributions to the industry and formed lasting relationships with colleagues around the globe.

Nick was a cherished member of a loving family. He is survived by his mother-in-law Marie Mattiello; his brothers-in-law, Vincent Mattiello & his wife Jane, John Mattiello & his wife Michele, Patrick Mattiello & his wife Debbie, Joseph Mattiello, and Ralph Mattiello & his wife Debby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Each of them will hold onto memories of Nick's profound sense of loyalty and the joy he brought to family gatherings.

Nick is also survived by his daughter, Andrea Anastasi, and her children, Emma and Samantha Torres, his brother Walter & his wife Elaine, sister Janet Ioli, sister Catherine Barquette & her husband Tom, sister Edna Caldrino, sister-in-law Claire and his brother the late Gasper. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His interests extended beyond his professional life, with a notable passion for the sport of football, which he played during his college years. This was a testament to his team spirit and his belief in the power of collaboration and camaraderie. Nick's intelligence shone not only in his career but also in his ability to engage in thoughtful discussions on a myriad of topics, always eager to learn and educate.

Nick's final years were spent bravely facing the challenges of dementia, yet even as he navigated this difficult path, his innate kindness and loving nature never wavered. He remained a beacon of light to his family and friends, demonstrating incredible strength and dignity.

As we say goodbye to Nicolo A. Anastasia, we celebrate a life well-lived. A life brimming with love, kindness, and intelligence that left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Nick's legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, and his memory will be cherished forever. The world is truly a better place for having had Nick in it, and he will be profoundly missed by all.
