Geralyn Nicaretta

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Geralyn Nicaretta, beloved wife, mother, sister, and cherished friend, who left us on January 6, 2025. Born on January 13, 1963, in Bayonne, NJ, Geralyn lived a life filled with love, dedication, and community spirit, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

 Geralyn was a devoted member of the Bayonne Board of Education, where she worked in accounts payable. Her commitment to her role reflected her passion for supporting the education of the community's children, leaving a lasting impact on those around her.

 She is survived by her loving husband, Lenny Nicaretta; her father, Lou Sclafane; her son, Anthony, and his wife, Shanna Smith; her sisters, Kim Perez and Lauren Dugan; her brother, Glen, and his wife, Pam Sclafane; her sister-in-law, Lynn Nicaretta; her cherished grandchildren, Anthony Jr., Haylee, Austin, and Layla; as well as many nephews and nieces who will forever hold her memory close. Geralyn was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Joan Sclafane.

 Family and friends will gather to honor Geralyn's life and legacy during a visitation at Caiola-Stellato Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne, on Thursday, January 9 from 4-8 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 10:45 AM. Cremation private.

 Geralyn will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family and friends. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. May she rest in peace.
