Maria Vivenly Generosa Crisostomo Austero, affectionately known as Generosa, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Born on July 17, 1959, in Manila, Philippines, Generosa's life was a testament to her name—a generous and loving spirit that touched everyone she met.

Generosa was the beloved daughter of the late Vivencio Austero Sr. & Lydia Austero. Sibling to Rossana (Manuel) Vales, Marisse (Manuel) Alvarez, Michael Austero, Vivencio Jr. (Marcia) Austero, John Patrick Austero, Paz (Brendan) Cunning. She was a cherished aunt to her nephews and nieces, Melissa (Roberto), Rachel (Stanley), Lerma, Renee (Bashir), Michael, Oliver, Odin, Raider, Avan, Quincy (Farrah), Grand, Krysta, Vivencio III, Jesse, Lillian, Patrick & Lydia. Her loving influence extended to her grandnephews and grandnieces, including Ava, Gabriella, Kailynn, Jaylynn, Lymaris, Bryce, Ryann, Esther & Evangeline. Generosa's warmth and guidance were a cornerstone in the lives of her extended family.

Generosa's passion for caring for others was evident in her professional life. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, a field where her selflessness and generosity shone brightly. Her colleagues admired her dedication and loving nature, which she brought to every aspect of her work.

A devout Christian, Generosa lived her faith through her actions, showing kindness and compassion to all. Her selfless nature was the hallmark of her character, always putting others before herself and finding joy in the happiness of those around her.

Generosa's interests were a reflection of her love for life and family. She found joy in the simple pleasure of watching the sunrise, a symbol of hope and new beginnings. An excellent cook and baker, she was the heart of family gatherings, bringing everyone together with her delicious meals and the warmth of her presence.
