Deborah "Debbie" Jean Ullman, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 30, 2026. Born on January 6, 1956, in Pennsylvania, Debbie lived a life filled with love, family, adventure, and an enduring curiosity about the world around her.
Debbie believed that life was meant to be lived, experiences were meant to be treasured, and the world was meant to be explored. An avid traveler with an adventurous spirit, she embraced opportunities to discover new places, create lasting memories, and enjoy all that life had to offer. It is a comfort to those who loved her that she was able to continue pursuing her passion for travel until her very last day.
While attending the University of South Carolina, Debbie met the love of her life, Keith Allan Ullman. Keith won her heart through his persistence, beginning a love story that would span more than three decades of marriage, countless memories, and adventures together. As a Navy family, they built a life that took them across the country, ultimately making their family home in Wellington, Florida.
Together, Debbie and Keith raised two daughters, Kristen and Marissa, who were the pride and joy of their lives. Debbie's love for her family continued to grow with the addition of her son-in-law, Spencer, and her two beloved grandsons, Stephen and James.
She also shared a love of learning and teaching. She taught swimming to many, including her own children, niece and nephew. She taught at Poinciana Day School for over 15 years, inspiring young minds. And finally in retirement, shared her love through reading the many many books brought to her by her grandsons.
Debbie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Commander Keith Allan Ullman, USNR (Ret.), who passed away on January 3, 2014. Though his absence was deeply felt, the love they shared remained an important part of her life. Her family takes great comfort and joy in knowing that Debbie and Keith are reunited once again, just in time to celebrate their wedding anniversary together.
She is survived by her daughters, Kristen Ullman and Marissa Kovar; son-in-law, Spencer Kovar; grandsons, Stephen and James Kovar; and brother, Jeff, along with extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
While her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, Debbie's life serves as a beautiful reminder to embrace each day, take the trip, make the memories, and never postpone the joy of living. She did not simply dream of adventures; she went on them.
In honor of Debbie, take the trip, see the world, and live the life you've been given today. Tomorrow is never promised, but the memories we make along the way are ours to treasure forever.
